Taganana

Born and raised in the suburbs of North London, Taganana is an electronic music producer whose sound is a rich tapestry of global dance music history, filtered through the flickering soul of his hometown. From the age of ten, he was drawn to rhythm – dancing to soul in leisure centre and community hall discos before he knew the names of the tracks that moved him. Those early dance moves became a lifelong journey, drenched in the sounds of London, New York, Chicago, and Detroit.

Taganana’s music reflects a deep and eclectic heritage. Growing up on a steady diet of soul, funk, hip hop, house, DnB and Latin grooves, he found his own lane through the spaces between genres. His productions are influenced by the drive of drum & bass, the swing of broken beat, and the pulse of deep house, drawing inspiration from legends like the Mizell Brothers, Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers, Masters at Work, Kerri Chandler, Wookie, Radiohead, and even the classical genius of Bach.

As a DJ, Taganana made his mark in London’s underground scene, spinning at venues across the city and honing a sound that’s at once dark and gritty, yet ultimately hopeful. His tracks carry a duality – melancholy wrapped in warmth, bass lines that hit deep and melodies that linger after the last note fades.

Now stepping into the spotlight as a producer, Taganana is set to release his debut EP – a collection that distils years of sonic exploration into a powerful, emotionally charged statement. It’s music born on dance floors, built from memory, and made for the soul.
